A night with Elliot Goblet at 360Q!
We’re SUPER excited about our inaugural Comedy Night and dinner on September 23! We’ve invited iconic comics Trevor Marmalade and fellow Hey Hey It’s Saturday alumni Elliot Goblet, aka comic Jack Levi, along for the night. We thought we’d throw Elliot a few curly questions ahead of his first foray to Queenscliff. Check out his famously deadpan comedic answers here!
Two of Australia’s most loved comedians will entertain guests on Saturday September 23 for one night only.
Trevor Marmalade, a regular on The AFL Footy Show, will deliver his one liners alongside famously deadpan comic and fellow Hey Hey It’s Saturday alumni Elliot Goblet, aka comic Jack Levi. Here, we take five minutes with Elliot to give you a taste of what to expect on the night!
You’re a deadpan kind of bloke – what gets you excited?
When I invite people to my place for a sausage sizzle and we just sit around and watch that sausage get burnt to a crisp.
Favourite type of exercise and why?
Swimming with the dolphins before a gig. That really relaxes me.
Surf or turf?
Surf because adventure is my middle name.
Who makes you laugh?
The Three Stooges. I just can’t get enough of three grown men whacking each other with the odd accurate eye gouge.
What’s something no one knows about you?
I am deep in practice on my latest performance of mime yodelling. Nobody ever hears me practice.
What do you really think about kale?
He plays well for Essendon and has an interesting surname “Hooker”.
Best thing you ever overheard?
A Chinese person whispering…a true Chinese Whisper.
What’s been your weirdest life experience?
I once went to an art gallery and streaked during an exhibition of nude paintings. I got thrown out of that gallery because they wouldn’t accept my argument that sometimes life imitates art.
Chips and salad or potatoes and veggies?
Sorry to be difficult but chips and veggies for me.
What do you always take on a date?
A mobile phone just in case we start struggling with the conversation.
Team Daenerys or Team Cersei?
Can never make up my mind between those two.
What’s your idea of a perfect fan?
One that wants me to autograph their body. I can’t get enough of that.
You find a genie in a bottle and have three wishes – GO.
My three wishes would be for three new bottles giving me nine wishes in total.
What will Elliot Goblet be doing in 15 years?
Hopefully I’ll be back at 360Q. Coming back would be like a 360 degree turnaround.
Tickets are $80 which includes entertainment and a delicious three-course dinner with drinks at bar prices. Dinner is from 7pm – why not arrive early for a pre-dinner cocktail! Book here: www.trybooking.com/RQHV
