Dave’s drink of the month: Spiced rum and ginger mohito

Welcome again to our monthly news spot featuring our awesome front of house manager, David Mash!

Dave loves his job and has become a favourite among locals and regulars to 360Q. He’s had quite a bit of exposure with his first Drink of the Month – the recipe for his signature espresso martinis literally went viral – and this time he’s putting a spring in his step to deliver a top cocktail for warmer weather.

Dave knows his stuff, whether it’s a wine recommendation, getting busy behind the coffee machine to make a mean macchiato or turning his hand toward the selective yet incredibly popular (for the customer anyway) art of cocktail making. Basically, if you have a thirst, Dave is definitely your guy to sort you out.

From now on, each month Dave will share his favourite drink as a hot tip for the next time you visit us. For November, it’s his twist on a classic minty goodness. “This month I thought I’d offer a different take on the classic mohito – it’s perfect for a summer’s day sitting outside looking out over the water.” We can taste it already!

Spiced rum and ginger mojito

Ingredients

60ml spiced rum
4 lime wedges
6-8 mint leaves
Dash of sugar syrup
Ginger beer

Method

Add all ingredients except ginger beer into a cocktail shaker and muddle until limes and mint are crushed.

Add ice to glass and top the mixture with ginger beer.

Garnish with mint leaves and serve. Voila!
