Locals flock to 360Q for special events
Our functions bookings are skyrocketing as we head into the cooler months, with local groups, business organisations, festivals and even car clubs booking our upstairs function space for breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Read this great report from our friends at the Queenscliffe Herald!
The weather is cooling down in Queenscliff, but the crew at waterfront restaurant 360Q are warming up for the autumn-winter seasons with functions bookings from local residents and business groups reaching new peaks in May.
360Q owner Barry Iddles says the venue at Queenscliff Harbour is welcoming bookings from groups such as the Probus Club of Point Lonsdale and Queenscliff, Point Lonsdale Tennis Club, Sante Wines and the E-Type and X-Type Jaguar Car Club among many others.
“We are delighted to be so popular with local groups both here in Queenscliff and in neighbouring areas,” Barry said.
“We are getting a lot of repeat bookings from those who come for lunch or dinner and then come back the next month or refer other organisations to us. It’s very humbling and our team is very excited to get to know the locals better.”
He has also taken bookings from the sea pilots for a group meeting in the picturesque Heads Room on the first floor, is set to host a high tea for the Queenscliffe Literary Festival and served a dinner for the Borough of Queenscliffe.
Special occasions are also a hit for either lunch, dinner or a cocktail-style function with canapes. Since reopening last October 360Q has hosted several weddings, 40th, 60th, 70th and 80th birthday parties and, of course, anniversaries.
“This month we will help local couple Fred and Pat celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary – that’s a real privilege for us,” he said.
And, rather than reducing hours over autumn and winter, Barry says 360Q is open two additional nights, offering a la carte dining from Thursday to Saturday and a set menu three-course roast every Sunday night for $35pp.
“Our roasts are a hit with Queenscliff locals and visitors alike from nearby towns,” he said. “We change the menu each week so we are giving our customers the variety they deserve.”
360Q is located at 2 Wharf St, Queenscliff. Call 5257 4200 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for function package details.
